Ozone Therapy
Two Pathways. One Goal. Your Body's Own Repair System.
Ozone therapy at The PRO2COL in Nashville isn't one-size-fits-all. We offer two distinct approaches — transdermal and extracorporeal — so your protocol matches your goals, not the other way around.
What Is Ozone Therapy?
Ozone therapy uses medical-grade ozone (O₃) — a molecule made of three oxygen atoms — to trigger your body's own repair and defense systems. It's not a new concept. Ozone has been used in clinical settings internationally for decades, with applications ranging from wound care and infection control to immune modulation and circulatory support.
The core mechanism is called oxidative preconditioning. A small, controlled dose of ozone creates a brief oxidative signal that activates your body's antioxidant pathways, supports immune function, and may help reduce systemic inflammation. Think of it as a fire drill for your cells — a small, managed stress that trains your system to respond better when real stress shows up.
What most people don't realize is that "ozone therapy" isn't one treatment. It's a category. The route of delivery — how ozone gets into your body — determines the depth, the dose, and the biological response. That's why we offer two distinct pathways, not one.

Ozone Therapy in Nashville, TN
At The PRO2COL in Nashville's Germantown neighborhood, ozone therapy is built into a broader system of physician-directed recovery and performance protocols. We don't offer ozone in isolation — it's part of a multi-modality environment that includes hyperbaric oxygen, IV therapy, red light therapy, infrared sauna, and more.
What makes our approach different from other ozone providers in Nashville is clarity. Most clinics offer one form of ozone therapy and present it as the whole picture. We offer two fundamentally different pathways — each with its own mechanism, its own depth, and its own ideal use case — and we help you choose the one that fits.
Which Ozone Therapy Is Right for You?
This is the question most ozone therapy pages don't answer. Here's the straightforward breakdown.
Card 1
HOCATT Ozone Sauna
Pathway: Transdermal (through the skin)
Session time: ~30 minutes
What it does: Delivers ozone through steam absorption while simultaneously running 9 other modalities — CO₂ vasodilation, far infrared, PEMF, photon light, and more
Best for: Immune support, circulation, inflammation, recovery, people who want broad multi-system coverage in minimal time
Intensity level: Accessible — no needles, no blood draw, deeply relaxing
Card 2
EB02 / EBOO
Pathway: Extracorporeal (through the blood)
Session time: ~2 hours
What it does: Draws your blood, exposes it to a controlled ozone-oxygen mixture in a closed circuit with advanced filtration, and returns it — processing up to 4,800 mL in a single session
Best for: Systemic blood chemistry, chronic inflammation, metabolic recovery, complex health challenges, people who want the most intensive ozone protocol available
Intensity level: Clinical — involves venipuncture and physician-directed oversight
Note: You may see this therapy referred to as EBOO. EB02 represents the next generation of this technology — higher blood volume, advanced filtration, and more precise ozone delivery.
HOCATT Ozone Sauna at The PRO2COL
HOCATT stands for Hyperthermic Ozone and Carbonic Acid Transdermal Technology. It's a personal pod that delivers up to 10 modalities simultaneously: transdermal ozone, steam sauna, far infrared heat, carbonic acid (CO₂), PEMF, photon light, oxygen breathing, aromatherapy, electrotherapy, and ultraviolet irradiation.
The session is sequenced — CO₂ opens your blood vessels first, then ozone-infused steam arrives when your body is primed to absorb it. Far infrared, PEMF, and light therapy run in the background throughout. Thirty minutes, no needles, and most people describe it as deeply relaxing.
HOCATT is ideal if you want broad-spectrum ozone therapy combined with heat, circulation support, and PEMF — all without a blood draw or extended time commitment.

EB02 is a clinical-grade ozone therapy that treats your blood directly. Blood is drawn from a vein, passed through a closed extracorporeal circuit where it's exposed to a precisely controlled ozone-oxygen mixture, filtered, and returned. The original clinical protocols processed up to 4,800 mL of heparinized blood in approximately one hour — nearly the entire circulating volume.
You may have seen this referred to as EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation). EB02 builds on that foundation with higher blood volume processing, multi-stage advanced filtration, and more precisely calibrated ozone delivery. At The PRO2COL, every EB02 session is administered under physician-directed oversight in a clinical-grade environment.
EB02 is the right choice if you're dealing with complex health challenges, chronic systemic inflammation, or you want the most intensive ozone protocol available.

Conditions People Explore Ozone Therapy For
Ozone therapy research spans a wide range of applications. People come to The PRO2COL exploring ozone for:
Chronic inflammation and pain
Autoimmune conditions
Lyme disease and co-infections
Mold illness and environmental toxin exposure
Chronic fatigue and low energy
Post-surgical recovery
Athletic performance and recovery
Immune support and resilience
Metabolic and circulatory health
Neurological support
A note on transparency: ozone therapy research varies by route, concentration, and indication. Some applications have stronger clinical evidence than others. We're happy to discuss what the research supports for your specific situation during a consultation.
Ozone Therapy vs. Other Wellness Treatments
If you're evaluating ozone therapy alongside other modalities, here's how they compare. These aren't competing treatments — at The PRO2COL, we often combine them.
Ozone Therapy vs. IV Therapy
IV therapy delivers nutrients directly to your bloodstream. Ozone therapy conditions the blood itself. They work at different depths — and pairing EB02 with IV therapy means you're optimizing both the delivery system and the cargo.
Ozone Therapy vs. Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBOT)
HBOT saturates your tissues with oxygen under pressure. Ozone triggers your body's adaptive repair response through controlled oxidative signaling. Different mechanisms, compounding benefits — especially when stacked.
Ozone Therapy vs. Infrared Sauna
Infrared sauna delivers deep heat for circulation and relaxation. HOCATT includes far infrared as one of ten modalities, adding transdermal ozone, CO₂, and PEMF on top. If heat is your primary goal, infrared sauna is the call. If you want broader multi-system coverage, HOCATT is the move.
Ozone Therapy vs. Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy works at the cellular level through photobiomodulation. Ozone works at the systemic level through blood chemistry and immune signaling. Different depth, different mechanism — complementary, not competing.
What to Expect During Your Visit
You'll start with a conversation. Whether you're exploring HOCATT, EB02, or both, our team will walk you through the options, discuss your health history and goals, and recommend a starting point.
For HOCATT
You change into a robe, step into the pod, and sit comfortably with your head above the enclosure for about 30 minutes. No prep, no needles, no downtime.
For EB02
The session takes approximately two hours. You'll be seated while the system draws, treats, and returns your blood through a closed circuit. A consultation is required before your first session.
Both pathways are available as single sessions, packages, or as part of our membership tiers. Our Nashville team can help you build a protocol that combines ozone with other modalities based on what you're working toward.

Safety, Candidacy, and Contraindications
Both HOCATT and EB02 have strong safety profiles when administered properly. The key word is "properly" — which is why both are offered in a physician-directed clinical environment at The PRO2COL.
General contraindications for ozone therapy include G6PD deficiency, uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, pregnancy, and significant thrombocytopenia. EB02 has additional considerations related to blood-thinning medications and certain cardiovascular conditions. A clinical consultation is required before your first EB02 session.
HOCATT has a broader candidacy window — most people can safely use it — though specific medical conditions should always be discussed with our team before booking.

Why The PRO2COL in Germantown, Nashville
Most ozone therapy providers in Nashville offer one delivery method and present it as the complete picture. At The PRO2COL, ozone therapy exists inside a broader system — physician-directed, multi-modality, and built around your goals rather than a single machine.
Our Germantown facility combines ozone therapy with hyperbaric oxygen, IV therapy, red light therapy, infrared sauna, cold plunge, bodywork, chiropractic, and more. That means your ozone sessions don't exist in isolation — they're part of a protocol designed to compound results across multiple biological systems.
Co-founded by NFL veteran Derrick Morgan and Charity Morgan, with medical oversight from Dr. Ethan Kellum, MD. This isn't a spa. It's a system.
